Synopsis: It’s 1851, and Charlie and Eli Sisters are both brothers and assassins, boys grown to men in a savage and hostile world. The Sisters brothers find themselves on a journey through the Northwest, bringing them to the mountains of Oregon, a dangerous brothel in the small town of Mayfield, and eventually, the gold rush land of California — an adventure that tests the deadly family ties that bind
My Thoughts & Recommendation: To start off, this film is kind of slow, but that much I expected due to the nature of Indie films. I also knew it was going to be a Gold Rush Western kind of movie, which it was. I, however, did not expect it to be somewhat funny. The Sisters brothers act like normal siblings and although they argue and bicker, they genuinely love each other and would do anything for each other. This was the most relatable part of the movie because I, too, have a brother and could understand their actions. I did expect some level of dirt, grime, and blood considering the nature of the Sisters brothers’ career choice, but I was not prepared for how much blood and death there was. There are also some pretty non-blood gross parts. But all in all, it was a weirdly good movie about the bond of brothers. The ending was a good testament to that. I would recommend this to people who like Indie films and can handle some blood and grossness.
My Rating: 3.5/5
